According to the notice released by the Falun Gong organization in Japan, they would hold a press conference here at twelve fifteen. After the journalists having urged the emcee over and over again, he then and only then told them the meeting would be hold there outdoor in the air open.
The emcee was Tsuruengashiao, a Japanese. He said, "the main purpose of this meeting is to appeal for the understanding of the public, because the Japanese media have not reported the self-burning incident in Tiananmen Square justly. They have misled the Japanese subjects by simply quoting the Xinhua News Agency's fabricated report. That incident has nothing to do with Falun Gong."
A reporter asked, "in the past, Li Hongzhi preached truthfulness, compassion and forbearance, but since this year, he began to preach 'being beyond endurance', and at the same time he called on the practitioners to hold back the evil by different kinds of methods. This preach is incongruous, and will you worry about that it will mislead the Falun Gong practitioners? Will you worry about that it will mislead the practitioners to pursue the so-called 'Kingdom of Heaven' and 'consummation'?" The emcee answered, "after the lection concerning 'Beyond the Limits of Forbearance' was issued, there are indeed many people putting forward this question. According to my understanding, 'Beyond the Limits of Forbearance' has something to do with the external circumstances for practicing instead of the practitioners themselves. And it will not result in the consequence you mentioned just now. "(the reporter's note: Li Hongzhi preaches that "The Falun Gong's principle includes 'Beyond the Limits of Forbearance' which is a pass the practitioners must surmount during their cultivation", but his Japanese follower said it had nothing to do with the practitioners. It is obvious that they have not sought the unity of talking yet.) Another reporter asked, "You are practicing Falun Gong now, and do you pursue the final consummation too?" He responded, "I don't have any special aspiration." Then the reporter asked, "Do you believe the 'Kingdom of Heaven' does exists?" He answered, "It's hard to illuminate it clearly, one has to understand it by reading. Exercising the Falun Gong is only a personal interest, and we practice it in order to become a good and healthy person instead of obtaining the skill of curing the sickness."
At that moment, a female follower stood out voluntarily, and she said she'd like to answer the reporters' questions. Perhaps, she thought the Japanese follower's understanding of Falun Gong was rather superficial, and his answer was rather shallow. She said, "I'm practicing Falun Gong just for consummation. But as for the consummation, different people may have different ideas". Then a reporter asked, "How do you think of consummation?" She answered, "According to the Falun Dafa, the consummation is 'rising abruptly in the world', i.e. your body enters into the 'Kingdom of Heaven'. If you haven't cultivated yourself completely, then there will be a line of grow. I myself have neither gone through it nor heard of it, so I can't describe the situation exactly and correctly." The reporter asked more, "The Falun Gong followers said that exercising it can cure the disease. So the followers can not get ill, can they? And they will not buy the health insurance, will they?" The follower answered, "Since I practiced Falun Gong, I have never gotten ill. And now, I buy the health insurance." With her voice still in speech, people roared with laughter. Obviously, she spilled the beans, if she does believe that Falun Gong could guarantee her health, she still buys the health insurance, then she must be rebuked by Li Hongzhi as "non-devotional".
A reporter asked, "Why don't Japanese media take part in today's meeting? Why there are only few Japanese followers of the Falun Gong presenting the meeting." The emcee expressed his regret embarrassedly. The press meeting then was ended hastily. If Li Hongzhi was on the scene, and found out that he and his disciples hadn't sought the unity of talking yet, that his disciple could not justify himself, that his followers explained in the contrary way, he would feel too ashamed to show his face.
