Tiffany Hunter: Is that Chinese classical dance?
Adjust font size:   Close Wordpress.com

It is an exciting thing to learning Chinese classical dance. With my dance teacher and classmates, I watched the show of Shen Yun Performing Arts at the Canberra Theatre Centre. It is said that it was the first performance in Australia. The ticket is cheap and you can buy it at half price.

The whole performance can not be described. The content of What we wanted to see had a great different from what we had seen. We even can't tell some dramas are tragedy or comedy. And there were also some torture scenes with acrobatics. There were some unpredictable dances. The dancers went through the modern dance with ancient costume and there is a stage property just like a desmodium but they called it "dragon".

At the halfway of performance, some people called themselves "falun gon" sat on the floor with dull facial expressions, their gestures are not in order. Several audiences even cried and shouted the show enabled them to feel the Mystery and terrify of Chinese people.

The performance is almost all-encompassing, only lacing of "art". Was this so called Chinese classical culture?
